Matt has been in practice since 1990. He started his legal career with a mixed practice of aviation litigation, community association law, and general practice. He found his calling in the medical malpractice defense setting and has thrived as a thoughtful, professional, effective advocate for physicians, nurses and hospital systems throughout Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with dual concentrations in Finance and Human Resources Management from the University of Virginia and his law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary. He served the Fairfax County citizens for 20 years as a volunteer firefighter, EMT, Fire Chief, and member of the Board of Trustees of a local fire department. When not practicing law, Matt can be found with a Martin or Fender guitar in his hands.
